Thru Hole Template

These Thru Hole Templates make it easier to line your holes when drilling through your body.

These can be made to any size hole you prefer, just message us so we can make it happen. The standard one is 4mm top holes and 8mm back holes. They use standard 4 and 8mm dowels from the hardware store for locating them, which a few pieces will be included in the set.

Instructions:

 Start by determining which holes are correct for your string spacing, next line up your template along the centre line and drill the 2 outside holes all the way through. You can also drill the remaining 4 holes but don't go all the way through. Recommended to tape the template in place and go nice and slow with this hole as they can waver around if you go to fast.

Next Flip the body and using dowels line up the Back template then drill the inside 4 larger holes to the depth needed for your string ferrules. Then relocate the template using the larger locating dowels to drill the remaining 2 holes. Flip back to the top and finish off the top holes.
